Construction
Salient is a direct/indirect luminaire constructed of 20-gauge steel. The Salient profile is an attractively slender 7 1/2" wide by 2 3/4" high and is available in 4', 8', and 12' housing lengths.Upper reflectors are constructed of specular anodized aluminum for precise upward distribution. Relamped from above, the Salient is available with one or two T8, T5, or T5 HO lamps in cross section. Standard light distribution is 60% uplight with 40% downlight. (distribution will vary according to lamp type and number of lamps in cross section).
Finish
The housing is finished with a baked powder coat matte white finish as standard. Diecast end caps and intermediate couplers are painted to match the housing. Hanging stems and canopies are painted white. Cable fittings are standard chrome.
Shielding
The parabolic louver is securely attached to the housing from the top, eliminating any chance of loosening or falling from the fixture. Three louver options are available. Low iridescent semi-specular (LD) is standard with options for white perforated louver (WPL) or white solid louver (WSL).
Mounting
Salient utilizes a unique hanging system that makes vertical and horizontal adjustment effortless. The aircraft cable assembly is totally adjustable. Precise horizontal balancing is accomplished by sliding a cable gripper along a metal yoke on each end. The cable gripper is simply turned and locked into place once the fixture is leveled. The double hanging system allows the suspension points to be placed on consistent, predictable centers for quick and easy installation. Rigid stems are available as options.
Labels and Electrical
Fixtures bear appropriate UL labels. Available in 120, 277, 347, or 120/277 (UNV) as applicable by ballast manufacturer and lamp type. Fixtures are prewired with electronic small case T8, T5, or T5 HO ballasts and quick disconnect plugs to facilitate fast wiring connections in the field.
