Alera Lighting traces its roots back over a hundred years as the architectural element of Columbia Lighting. With that said, Alera shares the vibrant and rich history of Columbia fluorescent including a tradition steeped in customer responsiveness; many products in the line were developed as solutions for specific projects. Due to a consistently increasing demand for architecturally relevant lighting products, the Alera brand was launched at LIGHTFAIR in 2000 as a separate entity with dedicated manufacturing, customer support, engineering, marketing and product development.
